Apple is expected to hold lots of events in 2021, just like they did last year. They’re likely to unveil new products such as Macs, iPads, iPhones and more. Here are just some of the things we expect to see from Apple in their spring event.

When is the Next Apple Event taking place?

The technology giants haven’t yet revealed when the spring event is going to take place. Jon Prosser, who often leaks the latest Apple news tweeted back in November ‘After this November ARM Mac event, the next Apple Event (currently a digital event) will happen on Tuesday, March 16, 2021’ This is incredibly specific; however, Apple will likely hold their first event of 2021 in March.

What Should We Expect from the Event?

Apple has annually held its spring event in March, however, in recent years they have skipped the spring event. When the spring event has taken place, they have launched some of Apple’s most popular products including the iPhone SE and multiple iPads, alongside a range of software products. Back in 2019, Apple held the spring event on March 25th, where it showed off Apple TV+, Apple News + and Apple Arcade services. In 2018, they gave an update to the 9.7 iPad, which was introduced to us two years previously in one of Apple’s March event. The iPhone SE was launched in the spring of 2020, however, this time it was unveiled in April in the form of a press release rather than a normal event in March.

Here are some of the things we expect to see if Apple hold an event in spring 2021.

iPad Pro 2021

There are many rumours that we may see a new iPad Pro this spring according to industry specialists and sources in the supply chain. Although, there isn’t an exact date when we should expect to see to new iPad Pro. All of the gossip suggests that we may see the new iPad Pro in the first quarter of 2021.

 Apple TV

The last time Apple’s set-top box was properly updated was over three years ago, this seems way too long for a company which updates their products each year. The company first launched the Apple TV+ subscription in March 2019. There were many rumours about Apple updating their streaming services in 2020, although, there was no sign of any update. Taking this into consideration, there is a good chance that there may be an updated Apple TV device launch next month.

 iPad Mini

Many reports suggest that March may be the month for the iPad, there are further rumours that there may be an update to the iPad mini. The standout story suggests that the iPad mini 6 could get a bigger screen, which would mean saying goodbye to the 7.9-inch screen. This is will be refreshing for many Apple fans as the 7.9-inch screen has been the same since it was introduced nearly ten years ago. There are sceptics out there that say that Apple often announces updates to the iPad mini in the Autumn, however, this is never set-in-stone.

 Brand New iMac Design

We have seen lots of different arguments on various forums to why the iMac needs a new design. 2021 could be the year that finally happens, Apple is finally looking to address the ageing framework that we are now used to. The primary change that is likely to happen is reducing the size of the bezels that border the display. The headline feature is bound to be the switch to the Apple Silicon M Processor which was introduced on the MacBook Air, Mac Mini and the MacBook Pro in 2020. Apple is most definitely keen on moving all of their Macs onto the Apple Silicon M Processor this year.
